Niihau Shell Lei. Authenticated. Sewn in the Pikake (Jasmine flower) lei style. 3 strands measuring 38 inches including the clasp. The shells used are the Momi Ke'oke'o or grooved off-white "dove" shells and Momi Ke'oke'o Waha 'ula'ula or white "dove" shells with red lip. The clasp is an unbleached yellow/pink hued Granulated pink cowry (Leho '6 kala) measuring 6/8ths of an inch with rare variegated sundial shells on each side of the cowry. Assessed characteristics: Excellent selection of shell size, color, and placement. Excellent alignment of structure with appropriate fluidity and flow. Overall very good luster. Note: 1 missing Momi shell 7 and 1/2 inches from Puka shell on one strand.
