Niihau Shell Lei. Authenticated. Sewn in the Pikake (Jasmine flower) lei style. 5 strands measuring 55 inches including the clasp. Momi Kua'ula (White "Dove Shells"). The clasp is a Bumpy or Granulated cowry (Poleholeho 'apu'upu'u), with brown hues 1 and 1/8 inch enhanced with 2 Puka shells - naturally worn cone shell bottoms with convenient holes on each side of the cowry. Assessed characteristics: Good selection of shell size, color, and placement. Good alignment of structure with appropriate flow and fluidity. There are a total of 8 Momi shells missing plus 1 with a sharp aperture should be replaced. Each of the 5 strands has at least 1 missing shell. Overall good luster.
