This is a bank-owned asset. The bank has agreed to pay for existing registration back fees with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the time of title transfer, not including any back fees added after August 15, 2023. Title transfer must be completed by the buyer within 7 days after the auction has closed. The buyer should schedule an appointment with the Honolulu County DMV as soon as possible.
The bank and the auctioneer will NOT pay for the title transfer fee, safety inspection or any repairs needed to pass safety inspection. This bus will require repairs to pass safety inspection. The DMV states that insurance and safety check must be provided in order to register this vehicle and transfer the title.
The successful bidder will receive a signed vehicle title with the bank's authorized signature to enable transfer of vehicle ownership on the island of Oahu "ONLY." This means that neighbor island bidders may have to complete ownership transfer on the island of Oahu because the DMV system is not linked across counties, which means the authorized seller’s signature will not be recognized in Maui County, Hawaii County, Kauai County. Neighbor island bidders MUST make their own arrangements for trucking and freight transport to Young Brothers, including booking ocean transport with Young Brothers, etc. Also anticipate that there may be delays with Young Brothers and bookings. Oahu Auctions and the seller will not provide storage. All vehicles must be picked up by August 17.
A 15% Buyer's Premium and 4.712% general excise tax will be added to your bid amount. Example: if you submit a bid of $100 and you are the successful bidder when the auction closes, there will be $15 buyer's premium added along with and 4.712% tax added onto $115. The invoice total would be $120.42.
Onsite inspection will be in Kaneohe. Details will be announced. If you are considering bidding on any of these vehicles, we strongly encourage you to look at these in person. Payment is due on August 16 by 1pm. Pick-up by appointment the August 17 from Kaneohe (Oahu). All vehicles must be removed from the premises by August 17.

Note: the bus in Lot 5 is not in Kaneohe and will not be available for inspection. It is in Mapunapua, which is close to the airport. If this changes, we will add information here.

Transport to neighboring islands is possible through Young Brothers freight and ground transport through an independent third-party hauler at the expense of the buyer. All transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Buyer must set up a booking through Young Brothers.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. All persons wishing to participate in the bidding process must be registered to enable bidding. By registering, you acknowledge full understanding of the Terms and Conditions set forth herein. Your bid is a binding contract. Unpaid invoices will be turned over to a collection agency.
2. Online Auction begins ending at 6pm. Each lot’s closure time is staggered and spaced out in 3-minute intervals which means Lot 1 is scheduled to end at 6pm, Lot 2 ends three minutes after that. Lot 3 to end three minutes after Lot 2, etc. However, if anyone places a bid on a particular lot within 3 minutes of its scheduled closure time, 3 minutes will be added to the clock for that particular lot. A three-minute time extension will continue to occur each time a bid is placed within the last 3 minutes until there’s at least 3 minutes remaining with no bidding activity.
3. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions is not responsible for any inconsistencies associated with the representation of items (via photos, announcements, printed materials, etc.) and the actual product. Therefore, it is strongly encouraged that you inspect each item you intend to bid on. Bidders should make an informed decision on what item(s) to bid on based on photos and videos of the item or through physical inspection.
4. All items are sold “as is” and “where is” with no implied warranties or guarantees of any kind. Deficiencies may exist that are not listed in the item description. The absence of any deficiencies does not mean that none exist. All items are being sold "As Is" with no express or implied warranty of any kind, including but not limited to the item's safety, reliability, or suitability for its intended purpose.
5. All sales are final. No returns allowed. No refunds or price adjustments will be provided for any reason.
6. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to add/remove items from the auction at any time for whatever reason. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to withdraw/modify any of the items listed in the catalog and/or add, remove or modify reserve amounts and bidding increments on any auction lot.
7. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to cancel the auction entirely, extend the auction end date, or end the auction early.
8. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to reject or cancel any bid(s) at any time for any reason. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to cancel a sale after an auction has ended. Island Bid/Oahu Auctions reserves the right to suspend bidding privileges at any time.
9. Bid limits may be imposed. Bid limit amount may be lowered or raised at any time.
10. A Buyer's Premium of 15% will be added to the winning bid for all auction items. Hawaii General Excise Tax of 4.712% will be added.

13. Items that are not picked up within the specified scheduled pick-up dates/times are subject to forfeiture. Items will be considered abandoned and you will lose all claim to the property. No refunds will be provided.
14. Late payments are subject to fees and penalties at the discretion of Island Bid/Oahu Auctions. Unpaid accounts will be reported and turned over to a collection agency, which can affect your overall credit scores for up to 7 years. Unpaid accounts are subject to legal action. The bidder information along with the credit card information you provided during the registration process has been verified for identity purposes prior to approval.
14. All items not claimed by the specified pick-up deadline date/time published on the auction page summary and details, will be subject to forfeiture and will be disposed of, resold or donated at Island Bid/Oahu Auctions' discretion.
