Blue Ocean Barns, the global leader in the production of asparagopsis taxiformis, a macroalgae produced in land-based aquaculture, is relocating its R&D operations overseas. Up for auction: 21 shipping containers and shipping containers converted into office space, commercial-grade water pumps, filters, 30-foot aquaculture tanks, round water storage tanks, operations equipment, metal storage cabinets, tools, tons of PVC pipes, lumber and other materials. These are at its multi-acre R&D facility at NELHA in Kona (Big Island of Hawaii), where it began operating in late 2022. Most of the auction items were acquired new and have been well maintained since then.
Online auction ends Oct. 24 (starts ending at 6pm, with lots closing in 30-second intervals). Pick-up for 30-foot water tanks and shipping containers Oct 31, Nov 1 and Nov 4 to 8 from 73-827 Makako Bay Drive.
Payment due by 1pm the day after the auction ends. Pmt by VISA/MC, cashier's check, cash. 3% fee on Visa/MC transactions.
