Seller reports this is a limited edition Richard Macdonald fine art sculpture titled "Elena". This was purchased in 2017 for $4650.

Per the artist:
“Elena", poised mid-air, elevated by an elegant cascade of drapery, becomes the embodiment of freedom, grace, and hope. Soaring and ethereal, the Cirque du Soleil performer sculpted in enduring bronze is transformed into a thousand memories and associations, destined to enter into our collective cultural consciousness as a lasting symbol of beauty.

Richard MacDonald’s figurative sculptures revel in the beauty and physical prowess of the human form. His work follows the lineage of sculptural masters like Auguste Rodin and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, albeit with a contemporary twist. MacDonald works in traditional materials, but frequently paints over the bronze he casts. His subjects contort themselves like dancers in motion, revealing highly detailed musculature. MacDonald’s focus on the body’s ability to manipulate itself has led to a long-standing creative partnership with the theatrical troupe Cirque du Soleil. He has also received commissions for MGM and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and has exhibited in London, Shanghai, Taipei, Singapore, Los Angeles, Barcelona, and Montreal.
