Niihau Shell Lei. Authenticated. Momi Ke'oke'o (White "Dove Shells"). 10 strands measuring 37 inches including the clasp. The Cowry clasp is a traditional Poleholeho "apu'upu'u or bumpy or Granulated cowry, white due to sun bleaching and ocean tumbled patina measuring 1 inch enhanced on each side with rare variegated sun dial shells. This cowry has a glistening shine to it, which is not common in adult cowry making it rare. Typically, only juvenile cowries exhibit this shine. Other assessed characteristics: Good selection of shell of shell size, color and luster. Appropriate fluidity and flexibility of the strands. Excellent luster overall.
