Niihau Shell Lei. Authenticated. Laiki Ke'oke'o (White "Rice Shells"). Species name is Mitrella Margarita of the miter family. 5 strands measuring 36 inches including the clasp. The Cowry clasp is a Gold-Ringer Cowry measuring 518th inch with 2 traditional Puka shells- naturally worn cone shell bottoms with convenient holes on each side of the cowry. Assessed characteristics: Excellent selection of shell size, color and luster. Appropriate fluidity and flow of the strands. Note: 4 strands need a little cinching up to tighten the lei.
