Niihau Shell Lei. Momi Lenalena 'ahiehie or "dove shells" with a light or faded shade of yellow. 5 strands measuring 36 inches including the clasp. The Cowry clasp is a Money Cowry (POpOleholeho) measuring 718th inch. Thought abundant in much of the Inda-Pacific, it is rare in Hawai'i. It is enhanced with 2 larger Momi Lenalena 'ahiehie shells on each side. Assessed characteristics: Good selection of shell size, color, and luster with appropriate fluidity and flow of the strands. Appropriate proportional size, color, and choice of cowry for the clasp. Note: Could use some cinching up on a few of the strands.
